Appearance: White or yellowish granular solid.
Solubility: Dissolves quickly in hot water (80–95°C)
Packing: Kraft paper package with plastic film inside, 20kgs/25kgs per bag, 800kgs/pallet or 1000kgs/pallet
Storage: The PVA should be stock indoor where room temperature is 5-30℃, dry warehouse, well-ventilated place. Avoid storing in places with high temperature fluctuations. keep away from moistur, and avoid sun exposure. It is strictly forbidden to store together with volatile chemicals to prevent adsorption deterioration.

Application

Paper Making

High-solids Surface Sizing:

Function: On high-speed paper machines, high-viscosity sizing liquids easily cause sizing roll spitting or uneven coating. BF-05 maintains a lower viscosity even at higher formulation concentrations, facilitating uniform compounding and sizing.

Effect: Penetrates deep into the paper sheet, bonding with pulp fibers to significantly improve paper surface strength (reducing linting and dusting), Z-direction tensile strength, and surface smoothness.

Pre-coating / Top-coating for Thermal Paper and Carbonless Paper:

Function: Acts as a barrier layer or dispersing binder.

Effect: Its low-viscosity property allows it to blend with excellent rheology alongside high-solids pigments such as china clay and calcium carbonate; meanwhile, its fully hydrolyzed barrier properties prevent thermal color formers or developers from penetrating the paper core, enhancing color-developing efficiency and image clarity.

Primer Sizing for Greaseproof Paper / Food Packaging Paper:

Function: Used for surface priming of paper. Utilizes its good permeability to fill surface micro-pores of the paper, establishing a uniform and smooth base for subsequent coating or lamination.

Films and Packaging

Due to the excellent oxygen barrier properties of fully hydrolyzed PVA, PVA/PVOH BF05 (0599,5-98,105) can be used to produce high-barrier films for food or personal care product packaging to extend shelf life.
